Philosophy on the Beach: Finding Comfort in the Sand
We had our first philosophy class on the beach this morning. We sat in a circle in sukhasana and within minutes found ourselves wiggling to get comfortable in the sand. We were surprised how difficult it was to set on the earth. Our instructor said it would get easier as we practice and the goal is to set there for a complete hour and move past the discomfort.
